Extensive congress and lecture program
Digitization, new processes in production, shortage of materials as well as continued regulatory affairs - many things occupy the medical technology industry, also with a view to the future. On May 3, the supporting program will start in Congress West and the Exhibition Forum, parallel to the trade show and open to all visitors. Starting with two sessions on start-ups, the program will focus on important trend topics over the three days. One of these is sustainability and the question of how medical technology can become a pioneer in this. But the topic of digitalization is also represented with sessions on cybersecurity, smart products and artificial intelligence. Regulation plays a large and important role in the medical technology industry: current topics in the program are safety, IVDR update and MDR. A panel discussion on the opportunities and challenges for medical technology with representatives from industry and politics, including the State Secretaries for Economic Affairs Dr. Patrick Rapp from Baden-Württemberg and Roland Weigert from Bavaria, will round off the supporting program.Getting to know the highlights in Guided Tours
Guided tours led by industry experts offer visitors the opportunity to find out about specific topics and get to know relevant exhibitors, products and solutions. The duration of a tour is 60 minutes. It thus provides a concentrated overview of relevant topics. Participation is free of charge for all visitors. Two awards for top performance
In addition, two awards will be conferred at the trade show: The MedtecLIVE Talent Award honors the final theses of young graduates in medical technology. At the neurotechprize, nine start-ups dealing with Alzheimer's disease will pitch for two prizes of EUR 100,000 and EUR 50,000 in front of an independent jury of investors, experts, clinicians, patients and payers.Experience medical technology production live
A unique highlight of the trade show is a complete production line that demonstrates the individual manufacturing steps of a medical product in live operation. The machines, the way they are networked and details of how they work can be experienced up close. The individual production steps are represented by the various competencies of well-known manufacturers.Networking for the future in one place
