MedtecLIVE with T4M and MedtecSUMMIT Newsroom
MedtecLIVE, Europe’s leading exhibition event for the medical technology sector, is working closely with VDI, Germany’s largest association of engineers, on the launch event for MedtecLIVE this spring, from 21 to 23 May 2019. VDI (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure, Association of German Engineers) is organizing the annual meeting “Young Professionals@Medtech” as part of MedtecLIVE on 22 May, the second day of the event. The Medical Technology division of the VDI Society Technologies of Life Sciences is also playing an active part in the supporting programme of MedtecLIVE, and is providing support for the new exhibition event together with MedTech Summit – Congress & Partnering. In addition to the VDI, numerous other leading industrial and sector associations are supporting MedtecLIVE, including VDE, ZVEI, BVMed and bitkom.
“It will be a pleasure to host the second annual meeting of the Young Professionals in Medical Technology at MedtecLIVE on 22 May 2019,” says Michael Spierkötter, spokesperson for the Young Engineers Network at VDI e.V. “As the centre of the medical technology industry, Nuremberg offers the ideal conditions for our new talents format. This new exhibition event means we have a strong partner on our side.” The Young Professionals can look forward to a rich and varied programme of networking and knowledge sharing at the annual meeting, combined with a visit to MedtecLIVE. The exhibition for the entire medical technology value chain, with its focus on innovation, is the ideal location for cultivating industry contacts.
Lectures in the supporting programme
The Medical Technology division of VDI will also contribute its extensive expertise to the supporting programme of MedtecLIVE, which will include lectures at the open MedtecLIVE trade forum. "The subjects are both fascinating and relevant,” says Fabienne Valambras, Brand Manager, Informa. “‘Medical Spice’ looks at quality assurance for software in medical technology. And another presentation covers the question of biocompatibility in medical technology. We are very happy to be working with VDI, and with their level of commitment.” Alexander Stein, Executive Director, NürnbergMesse, adds: “Together with our partner entities, and the parallel MedTech Summit congress in particular, we will ensure that the first MedtecLIVE is the “number one” professional platform for the sector.”
In addition to the lectures on the first and second days of the exhibition, VDI will also participate in a half-day special on the subject of ‘Career and the Skilled Labour Shortage’ on day three. MedtecLIVE will take place in Nuremberg from 21 to 23 May 2019, together with the highly rated MedTech Summit Congress & Partnering.
