Since the development process of a medical device is divided into different phases, we naturally evaluate and document these phases. This is how DIN EN ISO 13485 provides for quality management. The development plan, which takes into account the phases, evaluations and specific aspects of your medical device, is drawn up together with you according to your specifications.
After the development phase, the electronics are produced. As a technology service provider, we have all common manufacturing processes up to the processing of naked semiconductors in-house. We check which production technologies achieve the best result. Should your electronics become smaller and, for example, derive the power dissipation well? Then thick-film technology is the answer. We can use it to realize multilayer printed circuit boards and hybrid circuits on ceramics, aluminum or glass. Components can be applied in different ways. By SMT or THT, but also by direct pressure of resistors with subsequent value adjustment by laser. We also carry out all processes related to the production of your electronics in a clean room. This includes assembly, special protection processes, assembly and packaging.
We completely encapsulate electronics, whether with thermoplastics or thermosets, of course also with radio module and battery. Thus your product meets the requirements of the Unique Device Identification (UDI) of the U.S. Food & Drug Administration FDA. The encapsulated and completely encapsulated electronics can be placed in the autoclaves without any worries - even up to 1,000 times. Overmoulded electronics offer many possibilities: they can be moulded with any kind of holders, tabs, recesses, etc. We also integrate sensors to measure force or pressure, for example. Haptic elements are a must, especially for product designers. Whether multi-coloured surfaces or an unusual shape, the K2 spraying process makes it possible. This makes your electronics robust for daily use in medical technology and suitable for any application.
In addition to overmolding, painting or coating, we also process plastic or metal housings. This is not only about the simple assembly of housing parts. The housing should be exactly adapted to your application, whether with recesses for cables or display or additional elements to the simple printed circuit board.
