Replacing Animal Testing to prove Biocompatibility of Medical Devices

The biocompatibility of a medical device follows the requirements of the ISO 10993 series, which includes animal testing. The presentation shows the procedure for demonstrating biocompatibility without animal testing. In vitro test systems are presented as a substitute for animal testing.
