Internal hex contours are a daily reality in medical technology: in bone screws, implants and surgical instruments, they represent some of the most precise and demanding machining tasks in the industry. This is exactly where our two new products come in.
The new Pilot Drill Hexalobular (DRT) enables precise center drilling with a runout accuracy of less than 0.005 mmand an exceptionally smooth entry into the material. This protects the workpiece and significantly increases process reliability when machining difficult materials such as titanium and stainless steel.
The new Internal Hexalobular Cutter (FHL/FHS), available in short and long versions, perfectly completes this system: with a reinforced core for increased rigidity, even wear distribution and outstanding surface quality, it delivers reproducible results that are essential in medical manufacturing.
Both tools are manufactured as solid carbide tools, developed and produced in Germany, certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.
