Time is now accessible!
Live more independently with Zeitkompass. The watch helps making time and personal daily plans visible and understandable — to support independence in everyday life.
The digital system is a mobile and interactive alternative to analog magnetic boards or timers and was developed specifically for people with cognitive impairments.
With the Zeitkompass App and the Zeitkompass Smartwatch, daily routines are displayed using symbols — with METACOM symbols, emojis, or your own photos. Reminders are delivered automatically via vibration, speech output, and visual cues. This supports time orientation and makes routines easier to follow.
The result: less uncertainty, more structure — and a bit more autonomy in everyday life.

For everyone who needs support with time & daily planning.
Zeitkompass is designed for people with cognitive impairments — for example in the areas of autism, down syndrome, epilepsy, or dementia. But anyone who needs support with time understanding, orientation, or daily structure benefits from the clear visualization.
The product was developed at the University of Würzburg as part of a research project and tested in close cooperation with care facilities and specialized service providers. Partners such as Lebenshilfe Bamberg, Barmherzige Brüder Gremsdorf, and Noris Inklusion Nürnberg contributed to the validation.
Through this close collaboration, a practical and scientifically grounded assistive tool was created — intuitive, accessible, and suitable for everyday use.
