TI-Modellregion Franken: Testing digital applications in a regional network of service provider

The ‘Telematikinfrastruktur-Modellregion Franken (TI-Modellregion Franken for short)’ is a pioneering project by gematik GmbH that emphasises the innovative strength of Central, Upper and Lower Franconia region. As the second model region for digital health in Germany, it sets standards in the testing and further development of digital applications and services in the healthcare sector.

The TI-Modellregion Franken focuses on the practical testing and further development of telematics infrastructure applications such as the e-prescription, the electronic patient file (ePA), the TI messenger and KIM. These digital applications promise not only more efficient care, but also a strengthening of patient-centred healthcare.

The Franconian healthcare network connects a large number of service providers, from maximum care providers to small practices, creating a unique platform for exchange and collaboration in the digital healthcare sector.
