From Idea to Series: High-End Prototyping & Engineering
Discover how we bring your medical technology innovations to market faster through rapid tooling, filling simulations, and profound material expertise – precise, process-reliable, and "Made in Germany".
Precision from the Start: Development & Prototyping
In medical technology, details determine functionality and safety. Karl Kühnlein GmbH accompanies you as an experienced partner in the realization of your ideas. We rely on decades of experience in mold making and production to guide your concepts reliably through the process to series production.
Comprehensive Engineering & Component Analysis
The development of an injection-molded part differs significantly from mechanically machined components. We support you as early as the initial phase with:
- Feasibility analyses: Optimization of wall thicknesses, draft angles, and material properties.
- Process & filling simulations: Preliminary analysis of distortion and potential defects for complex components with tight tolerances.
- Tool design: All production tools are developed and designed directly in-house.
«We support you in realizing your idea – from the first sketch to complex assemblies in the medical sector.»
Prototyping: Speed Meets Original Material
To test functionality and process reliability at an early stage, we offer various methods:
- Rapid Tooling (Prototype Tools): Manufacturing from original material under series conditions. These tools are ideal for 100% testable parts as well as small and pilot series.
- Rapid Prototyping: Fast visual samples using laser sintering, stereolithography, or vacuum casting for initial design checks.
- Mechanical Machining: High-precision individual parts made of plastic or metal on modern 5-axis machining centers.
Quality "Made in Germany"
Our products are manufactured exclusively at our Mammendorf site using state-of-the-art machinery. By combining plastic and elastomer components, we also solve complex challenges such as sealing sensitive areas in medical technology.
