Key Medical Technologies – Trends from Research and Industry in Berlin-Brandenburg

Medical technology is undergoing a transformation: technological disciplines are increasingly converging, and Artificial Intelligence is opening up new perspectives for future healthcare. Innovations are emerging today where medical technology, digitalization, automation, and materials science intertwine, enabling integrated solutions for diagnostics, therapy, and care. 

With its dense network of research institutions, clinics, start-ups, and industry, the German capital region of Berlin-Brandenburg offers a particularly dynamic environment for this development. Against this backdrop, the presentation focuses on key technology drivers that are currently shaping modern medical technology and health research within the ecosystem.

Using selected examples, it will be shown how these technologies are applied and what cooperation potential exists for stakeholders who wish to collaborate with innovators from the capital region.
