Plasma Nitriding: Maximum Precision for Your Components

Plasma nitriding is unsurpassed in flexibility, reproducibility, and low distortion. Discover how we optimally adapt hardness, toughness, and corrosion resistance to your component.

Flexibility, Reproducibility, and Low Distortion

Plasma nitriding is unsurpassed in terms of flexibility, reproducibility, low distortion, and environmental friendliness compared to other nitriding processes.

The properties under mechanical stress are essentially determined by the diffusion zone. However, for the material behavior regarding chemical and tribological stress, the structure of the compound layer is decisive. We can influence both in a targeted manner and thus adapt them optimally to the respective stress profile of the component.

Hardness, toughness, corrosion resistance, adhesion, and abrasion properties can be varied within relatively wide limits and adjusted for specific applications. Especially for hardened tools, plasma nitriding forms an extremely wear-resistant surface as a supplement to high compressive strength.
