From June 18 to 20, 2024, Landesmesse Stuttgart will be the center of the European medical technology industry. MedtecLIVE 2024 offers 100 percent of medical technology, from development and design to manufacturing and production and around 400 exhibitors from startups to large corporations.
MedtecLIVE 2024 also offers around 400 exhibitors from startups to large corporations, an interactive supporting program for all participants and the best networking opportunities. Visitors can further expect a wide range of practical and scientific presentations from around 50 speakers from the medtech industry. Another highlight will be the 'Young Innovators' joint stand.
"Our goal is clear: we want to be a home for the European medical technology industry. More specifically, MedtecLIVE is the right trade fair for experts from development, product design, product management, production, quality control of distributors as well as purchasing and procurement," says Christopher Boss, Managing Director of MedtecLIVE GmbH and Executive Director of the event. "With our committees and great partners, we offer high standards and relevant topics for the industry through specialist forums and our exhibitors' stands for a successful and efficient visit to the trade fair right in the center of medical technology in Stuttgart. MedtecLIVE is the right place for anyone who wants to source regionally in Europe or is looking to enter the European market."
Full schedule for the MedTech industry
Throughout the three days of the trade fair, the focus will be on dialogue, knowledge exchange and networking, most importantly on processes, mechanical engineering and the manufacture of medical technology. "Almost half of the exhibiting companies are from these subject areas. Materials, components and services are also strongly represented. We are expecting around 400 exhibitors, from startups to large corporations," says Boss.
The MedtecLIVE lecture program includes practical and scientific contributions from around 50 speakers on the trending topics of automation, digitalization and the circular economy as well as the current regulations for medical devices, in particular the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and the In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation (IVDR) and is co-designed and supported by numerous renowned partners. Another focus is the transformation from other sectors to medical technology. "The market for medical devices is growing, and many companies from the metalworking or electrical and electronics industries see a real opportunity in entering the medical technology sector. We also want to offer knowledge and contacts for these companies that are still outside the industry," says Boss.
"We are also expecting official delegations from Ireland, Canada and the Czech Republic. The proximity to Switzerland and France also contributes to the international character of MedtecLIVE," Boss continues.
Joint stands for product innovations and network expansion
The joint stands also play a special role at MedtecLIVE. For example, young innovative medical technology companies from Germany will present themselves at the sponsored joint stand 'Young Innovators' and showcase new laser technologies, AI-based patent research tools and innovative silicone developments, among other things. "When it comes to product innovations, new technologies and business models, startups are an important contribution to the challenges facing the industry. They will have their stage at the 'Young Innovators' joint stand. Startups receive up to 60 percent of their stand costs reimbursed by the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control," says Boss.
In addition, the MedicalMountains joint stand with its over 30 companies offers a hub for information, discussions and meetings along the process and value chain in medical technology. Daily bus transfers from Tuttlingen and, on the second day of the trade fair, from Nuremberg will ensure a sustainable and comfortable journey to Stuttgart.
Other joint stands are being organized by the German Engineering Federation, the German Tool and Mould Makers Association and Bayern Innovativ GmbH, among others.
Focus on customer centricity
Already in February, MedtecLIVE has introduced a further step towards more year-round dialogue between visitors, exhibitors and the industry: the digital MedtecLIVE Community. As a central part of the new MedtecLIVE.com website, it creates a networking and information service that brings people together on relevant topics and issues before the trade fair. Exhibitors and visitors can subscribe to news about companies or topics, exchange information before the trade fair and arrange appointments and then continue the dialogue in person in Stuttgart.
With the acquisition of the T4M brand, it was agreed that MedtecLIVE will annually alternate between Nuremberg and Stuttgart up to 2024. Where the trade fair will take place in 2025 will be announced at MedtecLIVE 2024. "As organizers, we are in constant communication with the medtech community. After all, the heart of medical technology beats in southern Germany, and with it the need for a top-class trade fair and events in southern Germany," says Boss, "As part of the 'Customer Centricity' initiative, we will continue to develop the MedtecLIVE brand together with our customers in such a way that it takes the needs and wishes of customers into account in the best possible way."
