Medical technology without software? Special area shows importance of IT in medical technology

Predictive maintenance or digital twins in production, cyber security in hospitals or AI in radiology - software is of immense importance for development, production and application in medical technology.

Predictive maintenance or digital twins in production, cyber security in hospitals or AI in radiology - software is of immense importance for development, production and application in medical technology. MedtecLIVE with T4M from 23-25 May 2023 in Nuremberg will pick up on this with the special area "Software & IT".

"Algorithms not only play a very decisive role in determining new developments in diagnostics, the production of medical products is also changing tremendously as a result of digitalisation: digital twins, individual adaptations or small series production are generally only possible through the use of software - and development is extremely rapid here," says Christopher Boss, Director Exhibitions at NürnbergMesse. "We are bringing together all the suppliers and partners on this important topic in one special area. This creates the visibility that the technology deserves."

Software and IT companies are prominently placed together in Hall 1 of the trade fair, which shows the entire value chain of medical technology. Joint meeting facilities offer exhibitors additional opportunities and make it easier for visitors to exchange information with suppliers. Extensive advertising measures by NürnbergMesse are also part of the package for exhibitors. "With this special area, MedtecLIVE with T4M responds to the digitalisation trend in medical technology and gives the topic of software room for growth and exchange," confirms Evi Reiß, who is responsible for strategic customer acquisition at the IT company Softgate. "As a connectivity expert, we are looking forward to interested parties who are specifically looking for software. Due to the close proximity to partners such as Solectrix, we can present the cooperation to visitors directly at the fair in a vivid and tangible way."

In addition to the IT experts from Erlangen, Siemens Digital Industries, CodeCamp:N, Vorreiter Technologie and Infoteam, among others, are already relying on the synergies at the special area.

Registrations for the special area "Software & IT" are still possible until 31 March 2023.
