FLEIMA-PLASTIC GmbH is a company offering a full range of services in the field of plastics processing. Originally established as an injection moulding provider, our services now cover the entire development and manufacturing process for plastic products.
For many years, Novoplast Schlauchtechnik and Fleima-Plastic, the two medical technology brands of the Masterflex Group, have successfully combined extrusion and injection moulding in demanding projects. In doing so, they draw on extensive experience in plastics processing, in-depth material expertise and established manufacturing and joining processes carried out under cleanroom conditions.
The result is lightweight, high-performance and customised solutions.
In Halberstadt, polymeric materials are processed into medical tubing via extrusion in ISO Class 6 to 8 cleanrooms, whilst in Wald-Michelbach, matching fittings such as clamps, adaptors, connectors or protective caps are manufactured using injection moulding.
The actual manufacturing process, tube extrusion, can be individually adapted, and additional benefits or functions can be integrated into the tube through the choice of materials or by combining different materials. For example, conductive elements such as wires or glass fibres can be incorporated into the tube to transmit information or light signals. Furthermore, functional additives to the plastic used can enable UV-absorbing properties, antimicrobial behaviour or even a colour change during laser marking.
