HMS Networks presents the new PCAN-Repeater under its Peak product brand. The device helps developers, system integrators, and device manufacturers build CAN and CAN FD networks more easily, robustly, and reliably - even where high requirements for signal quality, device protection, and system availability exist.

In complex technical systems, such as those used in medical technology, stable communication between components is crucial. The PCAN-Repeater improves network topology, supports reliable signal transmission, and protects connected devices through galvanic isolation. It thus contributes to the operational safety and longevity of networked systems.

Peak places special emphasis on easy integration and maintenance. Termination resistors can be conveniently set from the outside via DIP switches without having to open the housing. The current switching status is directly visible. Push-in connections also enable fast, secure, and tool-free connection of CAN lines.

"The PCAN-Repeater combines many practical integration and handling functions in one compact device," explains Frank Iwanitz, Product Manager at HMS Networks. "With two CAN/CAN FD channels, it covers the central requirements of modern CAN networks while offering high user-friendliness at a competitive price."

The slim housing is optimized for DIN rail mounting and is also suitable for installations with limited space. Clear labeling and intuitive LED indicators facilitate commissioning and diagnostics.

With galvanic isolation of up to 5 kV between the CAN channels and the power supply, the PCAN-Repeater provides additional protection for connected components and supports robust, interference-free communication - an important factor in regulated and technically demanding environments.
