1) EMS for some of the world’s smallest modules. From schematic to module including active implantable modules. Examples are cochlear implants, heart therapy implants, brain implants, heart and liver pumps, bone extenders and external hearing units.
2) Ultra-low-power, mixed-signal ASIC development and supply. We have experience in 32kHz timing, capacitive sensing, temperature sensing and monitoring, and power management. Examples of projects include a direct acoustical cochlear implant where the power was derived from a 20kHz frame signal (the 5MHz clock was recovered using a PLL) and recently a battery-less pen where the energy for the ASIC is transmitted by a tablet. At one end, the pen writes and the other end is an eraser. The pen measures the pressure and the value is transmitted back to the tablet.
3) Thick-film: Here we screen print conductive, resistive and isolation layers on ceramic substrates. Passive and active trimming is possible.
