Why Sort Virgin Plastic?

Defects in the production of plastics are unavoidable. We check every single granule and separate out any defective components. This enables us to achieve the highest levels of purity and raw material quality.

SORTCO GmbH & Co.KG
Niederzissen, Germany

During the production and compounding of plastic granulates, burns in the form of black specks and color deviations are unavoidable. However, they are often so small that they are only noticed as defects during subsequent thermal processing, leading to processing problems and increased waste. In addition to unnecessary material waste, this results in time-consuming, labor-intensive, and costly consequential damage.

Compounders and processors with high quality standards therefore use SORTCO's services and have their raw materials sorted optically.

We use state-of-the-art optical sorting processes and combine them with proven, classic techniques.

Mechanical separation processes, such as screening (dust removal) and sieving (classification), further increase product quality. Before filling into the desired customer packaging, metal particles that may be loose or enclosed in the granulate are effectively removed from the product stream using inductive all-metal separators (metal separators).

We detect and eliminate the smallest impurities in products that are due to unavoidable fluctuations in machines and materials or human carelessness.

We check every single granule and separate out defective components. This enables us to achieve the highest levels of purity and raw material quality.
