In laser material marking, the parts to be processed are mainly handled manually. This often involves time-consuming loading and setup times, and the monotonous work places a high strain on the system operator. ACI offers an innovative solution for consistently high-quality processing results and maximum process efficiency in laser marking with its Workstation Robotic.
The advanced handling system, consisting of a laser marking station and integrated robotic arm, enables fully automated handling and laser marking of different components in a single work step. The robot arm can quickly grasp, rotate, swivel, and turn objects in all positions of the laser station, enabling efficient and highly repeatable multi-sided and circumferential marking. Depending on the application, the robot can be equipped with tools featuring different gripping concepts. The use of different grippers enables fully automated, flexible loading of a wide variety of variants and series.
Additional handling, vision and code reading systems can be integrated into the laser system. The manufacturer's own Magic Mark V3 laser software enables targeted access to all available functions and control options of the laser and laser peripheral devices.
Automatic focusing in laser marking
High-quality marking results are only possible if the working distance between the laser system and the component is optimally adjusted. With the new Auto Focus plugin, the laser beam is automatically focused on the object to be marked. Changing components made of different materials, with different part heights or widely varying manufacturing tolerances are marked precisely and with high repeat accuracy using the autofocus function. Especially in focus-critical applications, such as temper marking or black marking, automatic focusing guarantees precise, high-contrast marking results. The new Auto Focus plugin is available for fiber lasers in the Economy and Business Fiber series in the standard design, thus complementing the performance spectrum of Magic Mark V3.
