Calibration is a must for a quality system including continuous and reliable management of measurement devices in or aside production.
Kistler holds own accredited calibration laboratories according to ISO 17025 and offers onsite calibration services at customer site.
For medical industry applications, the on-site calibration is preferred provided as calibration “in position”, avoiding to remove the sensors from the installed place.
In position calibration means Kistler is calibrating the full production measuring chain as mounted during production, normally by just replacing the device produced with our traceable reference sensor. The reference sensor is small and rugged enough to be positioned in a feasible adapter.
Apart from low down time and less risk of any process intervention or re-certification, this process provides the lowest uncertainty available since all further uncertainties like installation, not aligned forces etc. are taken into consideration with this process.
The periodic calibration ensures a 100% quality control of the measurement devices during production over lifetime.
